Charity Committee
The St. Charles Convention Center has an employee-led committee committed to improving the quality of life for people living in the City of St. Charles and the St. Charles County region.
The Convention Center’s Helping Hands for the Holidays Committee organizes fun, internal fundraising opportunities for employees to participate in and raise money for the Helping Hands for the Holidays Charity Event in December of each year.
The committee also organizes the event, planning coat drives, recruiting volunteers and exhibitors, and providing resources for attendees.
Helping Hands for the Holidays
Helping Hands for the Holidays, first hosted in 2008, seeks to assist those in need within the local community by:
- providing a warm, hearty holiday meal
- giving away donated winter coats
- running activities for families and kids
- bringing in organizations that provide community resources
- creating overall community fellowship
The event is completely free for the general public to attend and does not require any RSVP or registration.
